2.0 Qualifications and Tradeoffs
2.1 Strengths and Qualifications
Team Strengths:
We all have Apple computers and have great interest in developing software for them. We all actively participate in web development and frequently utilize MySQL databases. We have experience with various computer languages: C, C++, C#, Java, MySQL, PHP.
2.2 Tradeoffs, constraints, and special considerations
Cocoa is a newer framework to all of us and it will require us to do a bit of learning. Our desire to get to know this new framework will help us learn rapidly.
3.0 Cocoa Application
3.1 Approach
Implementations currently exist for MySQL, but they all have limitations. We have been very dissatisfied with their performance and, therefore, we are going to develop a standalone application that will make interaction with MySQL databases much simpler. We will begin with Cocoa Tutorials and the project will take off from there.
3.2 Implementation and Considerations
The application will be built using the Cocoa framework. Obviously, MySQL will play a vital role as our whole purpose is to make interaction with it simpler. The application will make interaction with MySQL much simpler by providing a sleek and well organized interface and intuitive, easy to use controls. You will never have to write another MySQL statement again!
